About Me

Hi, I'm Nandi Kriwaczek

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can explore what matters most to you. My approach is collaborative and grounded in integrative counselling and psychotherapy — meaning we work together to understand your experiences, your relationships, and the patterns that shape your life.

I have a deep interest in what makes relationships work — how we connect, communicate, and grow alongside others. Whether you're navigating personal challenges, relational dynamics, or seeking greater emotional resilience, I bring curiosity, care, empathy and respect to our work together.

Creating a safe and non-judgmental space is central to my practice. I believe that healing happens when we feel truly seen and heard, and I aim to support you in exploring even the most difficult emotions with gentleness and clarity.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I also teach counselling and psychotherapy at university level. This role continually expands my understanding of relational patterns and the many ways we make meaning in our lives. It also reinforces the importance of sharing good practice, lived experience, and reflective dialogue — all of which enrich the therapeutic process.

Importance of Nature

Nature-based therapy is an important part of my work. My own experiences of being in nature — especially during times of emotional difficulty — have shown me how profoundly the natural world can support healing, regulation, and reconnection.

Whilst I'm not able to currently offer taking the work outdoors, my room is filled with natural objects and plants, helping nature to hold the space with me.

Professional Background

I have over 12 years of experience working as a psychotherapist, and continue to extend my learning through regular training.  More recently, I have incorporated nature based therapeutic interventions wherever possible, and have extended my relationship counselling practice.

BSc Psychology 1995

I initially started my psychotherapy journey by undertaking a psychology degree, where I developed greater understanding of human behavior, development and cognitive processes.

PGDip Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy 2012

An intensive training course covering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Existential Psychotherapy

MA  Clinical Supervision 2020

My Masters in Clinical Supervision introduced me to important frameworks used to facilitate depth of learning and exploration of client material with supervisees.  These frameworks are also applicable to my own practice, ensuring I continue to have a reflective practice.  My Master's dissertation focused on the role of nature as a third presence in self supervision.

PGCertHE 2025

My Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education facilitates and informs my understanding of models of learning, helping me to disseminate information and resources in a constructive and accessible way.
